Director's Statement
Every dream begins as a whisper — an idea too bold to stay quiet. For me, that whisper became a calling. A calling to create, to express, to break free from everything that says you can’t.
All Rules Aside is more than a film. It’s a rebellion against limitation. A love letter to creativity. A declaration that art has no boundaries — only possibilities.
This story was born from years of struggle, imagination, and relentless passion. It’s the voice I once kept silent, now amplified through every frame, every line, every heartbeat of this film.
I’ve learned that greatness doesn’t come from following rules — it comes from trusting yourself enough to rewrite them. So I choose courage over comfort. Vision over approval. Instinct over instruction.
This is my time — to create, to inspire, to prove that freedom isn’t given… It’s claimed.
To everyone who’s ever been told to stay in line — This one’s for you. Because the world doesn’t change when we follow the rules. It changes when we finally dare to break them.

about
A Gritty Crime Drama Series by Parviz.
When the past refuses to stay buried, redemption demands blood.
All Rules Aside is a raw, pulse-pounding crime drama that dives deep into the dark heart of loyalty, love, and betrayal.
Antonio, a reformed mobster who walked away from a life of violence, has built a fragile peace far from the streets that once defined him. But when his wife is kidnapped, that peace shatters—and Antonio is forced to confront the sins he thought he’d escaped. To save the woman he loves, he must become the man he once was.
Meanwhile, Alexander Caprese, the ruthless head of the Caprese syndicate, finds his empire crumbling from within. His trusted underboss, Victor Diaz, has begun a silent war of ambition—one that threatens to ignite the entire criminal underworld, driven by the single purpose of overthrowing the king from his throne.
In the shadows of the city, Benjamin Carcetti, a corrupt mayor bound by greed and guilt, struggles to keep his web of lies from collapsing.
Power. Vengeance. Redemption. Every choice carries a cost.
All Rules Aside is a gripping exploration of morality in the criminal underworld—where loyalty is currency, love is weakness, and forgiveness is the most dangerous gamble of all.
How far would you go to protect the ones you love?
the state
Frank Whitfield never wanted to be a hero. He wanted order. He was raised in a collapsing industrial town where the factories shut down faster than the bars. He watched his father leave before sunrise and come home broken—hands split open, back bent, lungs full of dust. Honest work, brutal consequences. From that life, Frank learned a simple truth: when systems fail, people pay the price. And someone always pays more than everyone else.
That belief followed him into the Police Academy. Whitfield didn’t rise through the Major Crimes Unit by kicking down doors or chasing headlines. He did it by following the procedure—meticulously, relentlessly. He learned how cases collapse. How evidence gets thrown out. How good intentions ruin prosecutions. It took him years longer to rise through Major Crimes—but every case he touched stayed standing. He believed precision was mercy. That doing it right mattered more than doing it now.
Then the department imploded.
A corruption scandal ripped through City Hall and law enforcement alike—bribes, planted evidence, missing files, bodies buried under procedure. Whitfield’s predecessor went down in disgrace. The city demanded reform. The state demanded results. Frank Whitfield accepted the badge with one condition: total autonomy. What he built shocked everyone.
He dismantled the traditional beat system—decades of muscle memory, street instinct, and “the way it’s always been done.” In its place, he installed a predictive, data-driven crime algorithm. Heat maps. Risk probabilities. Deployment models that anticipated violence before it happened. Numbers instead of narratives. Forecasts instead of gut feelings. To his critics, Whitfield became a villain overnight—a technocrat hiding behind spreadsheets while neighborhoods burned. They said he removed the human element. That he turned policing into surveillance. His supporters pointed to the numbers: a 22% drop in violent crime. Fewer homicides. Fewer funerals. Fewer names added to cold steel plaques. But numbers don’t show what gets lost in the margins. Now working alongside, Whitfield is a man who threatens to tear his system apart.
Idres Ziya.
Head of the Strike Task Force. Eight years undercover. Eight years living inside criminal organizations, long enough to forget where the mask ends and the man begins. Ziya knows how crime breathes. He knows how fear moves faster than law. He has a reputation—heavy hand, short fuse, unrelenting pressure. He made Detective last year, not because anyone liked him, but because ignoring him became impossible. His arrest record was obscene. His undercover successes are undeniable. He bent the rules. He broke norms. He crossed lines—then dared the system to stop him. Ziya believes justice delayed is justice denied.
Whitfield outranks him. Ziya resents him. Whitfield believes the law is the only thing separating order from collapse.
Ziya believes the law was written by people who’ve never had blood on their hands. Their partnership is volatile—two philosophies grinding against each other under constant pressure. Meetings end in silence. Briefings end in confrontation. Neither trusts the other to make the right call when everything is on the line. And now everything is on the line. For six months, both men have been chasing the same enemy: the Marasano–Caprese Syndicates. Once a traditional mafia family running local rackets, union intimidation, and street-level violence, they’ve evolved. Adapted. Mutated. They are no longer bound by neighborhoods or borders. They operate as a billion-dollar criminal enterprise, powered by encryption, shell corporations, offshore accounts, and private military-grade security.
They launder money through algorithms. They erase witnesses digitally before they disappear physically. They anticipate police moves before warrants are signed. They don’t react to the system. They exploit it. For the first time in their careers, Frank Whitfield and Idres Ziya are facing something that can’t be intimidated, outrun, or neatly prosecuted. A machine that learns. A criminal empire that thrives in the blind spots of the law. The city feels it. Homicides spike in patterns the algorithm can’t explain. Informants vanish mid-sentence. Judges hesitate. Politicians stall. The public loses faith. And every move Whitfield makes tightens the noose—or snaps another thread. Ziya wants to hit harder. Faster. Dirtier. Whitfield wants to hold the line—because once it breaks, it never goes back. The question isn’t whether the rules will be tested. It’s whether the rules can survive. Can the state, under Frank Whitfield and Idres Ziya, infiltrate and dismantle the most powerful criminal syndicate the city has ever faced? Or is this the future—where law enforcement no longer sits at the top of the food chain? Will they solve the murders, expose the machine, and put its architects behind bars? Or will they be forced to choose between justice… and survival?
